Details:
My name is Michael Everson and I grew up on the beautiful country side of southwest Georgia in the small community of Spence in Grady county. Growing up, I attended school in Pelham and then went on to Thomas Technical College studying Mechanical Drafting and Design. I currently reside in the small, peaceful community of Hopeful, just outside Camilla. Hopeful is a great place to live and very picturesque of what I envision the beauty of southwest Georgia to be. I attend Hopeful Baptist Church where I enjoy sharing life with every one of my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ of all ages. I have three terrific kids...Haley, Kayla and Trey. They are by far the greatest blessings God has ever given me besides Christ. I love them dearly and they have made life worth living. My parents are Wayne and Agnes Everson and I have one brother and sister...Shane and Ashley.

I have always had a deep love for music and singing but it wasn''t until my twenties that I decided to break down and learn how to play guitar. I was raised on the great country music of the 80’s and 90’s and country music continues to be my favorite genre of music. I also enjoy contemporary Christian music and some good rock and roll. I am thankful that God has given me a desire to write, play and sing. I am thankful that He continues to guide me and open doors in my life that teaches me and draws me closer to Him. I have learned a lot from God these past several years about life, faith and family values.

I received Jesus Christ as my Savior at the age of 29. Since then, life has thrown me many curve balls and I have struck out but also hit a few homeruns. I have fallen and gotten back up and learned from God in the process. Trials have also come my way by those unavoidable circumstances of life and I have learned from God in those processes as well. In short, let''s just say that life didn''t really get difficult until I met Christ, but it has all been well worth it. God doesn''t promise us an "easy and happy" life. In fact, His Word guarantees just the opposite but also guarantees that He will be with us always and will never leave nor forsake us. If we take a look at the lives of the people in the Bible, we find that every one of them did not lead what this world would call easy and happy lives. Why then would we ever think our lives in Christ would be any different? I have found that there is peace, joy and comfort in the midst of life''s trials and failures all provided to us by God''s ever merciful Grace. He is everything to me and I try to go everywhere He leads me in every aspect of my life. I am very far from perfect and I fail miserably on a daily basis, even on my best days. I wish I could say that I am obedient all the time and that I have it all together but that would simply be a lie. I don''t believe I have met anyone yet that is worthy of God''s love and admiration and really has it all together in the sense of serving God perfectly but if you are out there, I would love to meet you and know your secret! My life is ever changing and I am ever growing in Christ and I never want it to be any different. I never want to become complacent in life because then I will have found myself settling for mediocrity in the choice to stop growing in Christ and that will rob Him of His glory in my life and sell me short of the bountiful blessings He wants to bring into my life. Our God is truly an awesome God and He is wild and unable to be tamed by our human existence. He does what He wills, not what we will Him to do in our lives. However, I have found that He will do absolutely nothing in our lives without us allowing Him to. He created us all with the great power in and of ourselves that we call free will. We have the ability at our disposal to choose Christ as our Savior or not and then to allow Him to take us just as far in our lives as He wants to or not. I can tell you that living a life in submission to God''s will is extremely hard but the payoff in a close relationship to Him is worth every single struggle it takes in order to become submissive and allow His will to be done in our lives. That does not mean we will not fall...we will make mistakes but we just have to get back up and continue in the race He has set before us. His Word tells us that we were all created for a purpose in life and that purpose was predestined by Him before we were even born. Why not seek our destiny in Him? Is it too difficult? Are we not up for the challenge? Do we feel that someone else is better to fill our roles in Him? Do we just not care? Whatever your purpose and your reason for existing I pray that you find yourself in Christ and find all that your heart is seeking in life. In my song "Whatever You Can Use", it speaks about becoming submissive to God and laying it all out there and simply asking God to take my life and do whatever He wants to with it. He has certainly done some extremely radical changing in my life and I wish I could say that it''s all been pleasant. I am very much looking forward to all God has in store for me and this crazy world I live in. I am looking forward to seeing where He takes us all and who He allows my life to become blessed with knowing. I am looking forward to meeting you all and talking about God and life and seeing just how much in common we all have, regardless of political views or age differences. Instead of dreading change...I am looking forward to it! How about you?
