Details:
Summerfield is a young country-pop duo that many say sound like Lady Antebellum playing a Taylor Swift cover. Their music is frenetic, original, and built on life experiences, and they are cousins who now run their own record label and publishing company. They were approached early on by many producers, labels, and A&R agents however made the choice to stay grassroots and learn this industry from the ground up.
Summer Collins (15) was joined by her cousin Isaac Ball (19) to form the band "Summerfield" in April 2010 for a debut performance in front of 15,000 at North Carolina''s Dogwood Festival. Part of a generation of rising country talent, their new-country style is evident in each song with clever lyrical and musical pieces that set them apart from their peers. Together, they are most excited about their first 15 song CD that is currently being completed in Nashville, TN after spending their entire 2010 Summer vacation writing and also performing at numerous venues. The CD release is set for March 2011; watch them grow! Summer Collins was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC where she grew up an Army brat while her father served at Ft Bragg. Summer began singing and performing before the age of 10. Isaac performed as the Concert Master violinist for the Treasure Coast Youth Symphony in Florida prior to completing High School and moving to North Carolina to join up with Summer. Both Isaac and Summer have incredible life-stories. Isaac grew up with 8 siblings in a modest home, but full of musical talent and warmth, and Summer grew up on the Ft Bragg Army base as a military brat. After losing her mother to Leukemia in 2005, Summer turned to music as a form of expression to touch others. Both Summer and Isaac share many life experiences beyond their youth through their lyrics and music.
