Dominic Sinesio is a New York-based singer songwriter. His songs are small vignettes of lives converging and evolving—sometimes joyous, sometimes bittersweet—but always at peace with the beauty of uncertainty. His sound draws on classic 70s rock, jazz, folk and soul from Steely Dan to Leo Kottke to Stevie Wonder with inflections of mid-80s-era Sting. The eclectic, pop hybrid is fused together by contemporary acoustic guitar song craft a la Dave Matthews and John Mayer.
The independently released, full length album, “The Sea & The Sky” is the product of over a year of recording with producer Allen Towbin of Blue Maze and a diverse cast of musicians most of whom comprise Dominic’s live band. The ensemble includes half of the jazz sextet, Evil Giraffes on Mars, Ryan Slotnick (keys) , Doron Lev (drums), and Jamaal Sawyer (tenor sax ), Groove Collective veteran, Jonathon Maron (bass), fellow singer-songwriters Mary Jennings and Nancy Magarill on backing vocals, and Kevin Cerovich (Trombone).
As a bassist, Dominic Sinesio regularly performs and records with a range of emerging NYC singer-songwriters and bands including Justin Storer, Emerson Young, Pat Hull, Freeloader, and Lucy Spot.
