The "God is Our Refuge" CD is a collection of songs the Lord gave me during my early walk with him. The first song I ever wrote, “Only You”, was written before I received the holy ghost in 1993, but God had already planted His seed in my heart. “I Have No Understanding”, was the first song I wrote after receiving the baptism of the holy ghost, and what a wonderful time I had driving down the highway that day! Another song, “His Love is Real”, was a comfort to me during a difficult time I was going through at home. John Clark, my pastor, dreamed two of the verses for the song, “God is Our refuge”, after I first sang it in a prayer meeting.
“Praise Ye the Lord (Psalm 113)”, is a special song to me. The verse “He causes the barren woman to keep her house, to be a joyful mother of children, Praise ye the Lord” is exactly what He’s done for me. How wonderful it was to see my husband and children all come to Jesus and receive the holy ghost. And my husband, Rob, now records and edits the music, also singing with me on this CD.
There is no religion on earth that can do what Jesus can do for you. I love the life Jesus has given, and my prayer is that these songs will encourage you to seek the “Prince of life” yourself. He is willing, able, and perfectly sufficient to love you and keep you in the blessed power of His precious holy ghost.
