Celebrated singer Dick Carceo has been a force on the music scene in the New England area since the 1950s. Audiences packed the room of the Stardust Lounge, a Massachusetts North Shore club, from the 1960s through the 1980s to listen and dance to his trio the Softwinds. From 1990 to 2005, he brought his talents to the prestigious Andover Inn on the grounds of Phillips Academy, as the front man for the Dick Michaels Orchestra. Accompanied by pianist Michael McLaughlin and bassist Greg Loughman, “Let’s Live,” is Dick Carceo’s second CD release, a collection of originals and lesser-known standards performed with an accomplished sophistication of style and distinctive interpretation.
