About Me
Yes, music is a large part of who I am and what I do, but far more important than that is my relationship with God-- it is why I live, breathe, and sing at all! My ministry can be summed up in three main areas: music, teaching, and speaking. My major focus is on singles and purity. Due to my many past mistakes in the area of relationships, I am passionately driven to encourage young people and singles, through my music and speaking, to live their lives completely devoted to God without entanglement in the snares of "the world’s way” of conducting relationships. Being a woman, naturally I am able to relate to woman and girls on a more intimate basis. I desire for all woman to know they are God’s prized princesses! The love and healing I have received in my own life through Jesus Christ is something that I want all woman and girls to experience and know. Any opportunity God places in my path to share my testimony, is an honor for me. My pastor once said, “Our greatest witness is our testimony”. I have discovered that to be so true! To think that God uses our mistakes to help someone else is astounding-- all I have to say is, "thank the Lord for that!" I know there are times each of us can say, “If I could only go back and change it…” Perhaps all of us could have made better decisions in the past, but when we open ourselves to God, He is always faithful to turn to His glory that which the enemy meant for destruction! “But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal…” Philippians 3:13
By God''s grace, He has changed my life and called me out. By being obedient to Him, what do any of us have to lose? As Jim Elliot so perfectly stated: “He is no fool who gives up what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose.” By losing my life to Christ, he has given it back to me so much more abundantly than I ever could imagine had I kept living within my own way.
Imagine if we all stepped out in faith and shared our lives and our entire selves to help others? Someone once said, “One person may not be able to affect the whole world, but to that one person you may be the world.” This is absolutely true-- there may be only one person who needs to hold what you have to impart through Jesus Christ, and that one person is worth the world to God.
I love music, because it reaches people where sometimes words cannot be found. God has used my songwriting, singing, piano, and guitar playing to express His love and Truth to me. Next to filling my heart with His Word, one of my most favorite times with God is worshiping alone. The Holy Spirit never ceases to amaze me with His gentle presence. God has placed a deep passion in my heart to reach people with His love, through my music. Sharing my songs with people is like opening up my heart and soul for them to see. Because of this, I believe that people can say, “Hey, I can relate to that!”, or, “I am not alone in this trial!”
Above all, it is the Holy Spirit, alive in us, who speaks to others through us. I know that it is not me who touches people’s hearts, but God’s Spirit alone, who is IN me. I want to do the best I can, while I have life on this earth, to offer the salvation, healing, love and truth of Christ our Savior-- for although I know this is not our permanent home, what we do while we are here makes a difference for eternity. “So we make it our goal to please Him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it.” 2 Corinthians 5:9
