MP3 Lauris Vidal - Shoot Shoot Your Skeletons EP
Swampy, kitchen sink, beat blues
7 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Roots Rock, BLUES: Delta Style
Details:
Kitchen sink beat-blues with off-kilter percussion and an affected sense of swampy melodrama (straight from the Frank’s Wild Years school) from an ultra-indie Fl., solo artist. Jim Reed - Connect Savannah (Jul 13, 2006)
He has played all over the east coast and isn''t going to stop broadening his audience any time soon. He plays many instruments live and on this CD- 1920''s Slingerland Banjo, 1967 Kamaka Ukulele, 1959 Framus Studio Model guitar, 1938 Gibson eh-100 lap steel, 1964 Guild S50, 1920''s big band drums, and old bass guitars. All of these instruments deliver unique tones that only complement his unique songwriting and vocal stylings.
He recorded his EP "Shoot Shoot Your Skeletons" in an old room in Central Florida. He played and engineeered every track. He enlisted local musician, Jason Pratile on drumkit on certain songs and Josh Rohe as final mix engineer.
Feedback so far has been nothing but pure addiction to this quirky but intensely catchy music.
