Mr. Scott grew up in a little shore area town known as Manasquan,NJ. He came from a very musical household primarily due to his mother being a seasoned piano,voice,organ and early childhood music teacher/performer. As a result of his mother''s strong musical Mr. Scott made music his life. in addition he has a younger brother, currently living in Los Angeles,CA who is a fine singer and keyboard player and has worked with the likes of Rick James, The Platters, and The Gap Band and many others. Mr Scott''s older sister,a Folk/R&B singer/piano player, has a voice like an angel and is currently residing in the Richmond,VA area.
https://www.tradebit.comtt studied piano for many years with his mother as well as other area teachers. After a few years of piano, he decided to take up the drumset and continued to study both instruments side by side.
Mr. Scott''s late teen and early adult years had him playing drums for many local bands in the NJ shore area, covering a variety of genres such as Latin,Rock,Reggae,Jazz,Celtic,R&B and many more styles. Currently Mr. Scott holds the drum chair for nationally known children''s artist YOSI. As a piano/keyboardist, Mr. Scott has played in various musical situations. One of the highlights was while still a member of the US Air Force in 1988, as part of a 7 country tour with the elite US Air Force sponsored Showcase Band.
Years later Mr. Scott taught private piano and drumset and had tremendous success with it. Along the way, his mother encouraged him to try his hand at teaching preschool group music lessons (aka Early Childhood Music). After sitting in during her classes a few times he became completely hooked. Mr. Scott has always loved children (he has 4 of his own) and putting that together with his great passion for music was a perfect match. So he went to school, picked up his certification and after a few years of trial and error , he has developed a unique style of his own and enjoys great success with his wacky brand of humor and high energy live performances.
