Singing became Debi''s passion at a very young age. Debi grew up in a pastor''s home, and often sang with her family. She also won several awards for singing. After college Debi asked the Lord to help her write songs and a whole new area of ministry opened up for her. She sang backup commerically. She also got her feet wet in the field of songwriting for two different publishing companies in Nashville. Her deep passion still remained: ministry to people. This led her to travel to many churches nationwide. She recorded two albums, one named "Understanding Heart" and another named "The Best Years Are Ahead." Both recieved national coverage. In 1987, she moved to Springfield, Missouri with her husband Scott. She spent the next couple of years touring with her brother Greg Worley. Together they made two albums entitled "Prepare For War" and "Stand Up And Fight". She continued to write for Lita Publishing in Nashville.
It was at about this time that she and Greg felt God calling them back into the church to minister full time. She accepted a position as worship pastor at Grace Chapel Foursquare in Springfield. She remained there for 8 years, but recently moved to Faith Assembly of God in West Plains, Missouri to lead worship for a 1000-member congregation. Debi has written two new recordings ("Challenger Deep" and "Sweet Abandon") and continues to write worship songs. Her music is described by others as unique, and different."She has recently resigned from leading worship at Faith Assembly of God and is working closely with International House of Prayer in Springfield as well as leading worship seminars and worship conferences.
Debi and her husband have 4 children, Heather, Scooter, Chelsea and Jordan. Debi loves leading worship and teaching people how to combine worship and intercession. Debi is also very involved with the Springfield International House of Prayer as a worship leader. She also has a traveling team and is available for worship conferences. She loves to teach on worship, how to organize and unify worship teams, as well as how to go deeper with God by teaching worship in a practical way. Her desire is to show others that worship is not something mysterious or superspriritual as some might think. Anyone can enter into worship and have a wonderful experience with God in his or her own unique way.
