Anthony Paule Bio... Anthony Paule (guitarist/vocalist/songwriter) has gone the major part of his career in the load-bearing role, backing up the likes of Earl King, Brownie McGhee, Charlie Musselwhite, Bo Diddley, Johnny Adams, and Tommy Ridgely.

In 1987 and 1988, Anthony toured the U.S.

and Europe with contemporary blues harmonica-master Mark Hummel and his band the Blues Survivors.

1991, was the year he recorded with the Johnny Nocturne Band, a nine-piece jump blues outfit from the San Francisco Bay Area.

Anthony's unparalleled performance on the group's debut album WAILIN' DADDY (Rounder/Bullseye Blues), garnered him much critical acclaim, and in 1992 & 1993, with the Johnny Nocturne Band, he performed at the du Maurier Jazz Festival, in Vancouver, B.C.; the Victoria Jazz Festival, Victoria, B.C.; the Monterey Jazz Festival; the San Francisco Blues Festival; and the Sacramento Blues Festival.

Also in 1993, Paule's guitar playing graced the Doug Jay album entitled, "UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN".

The release of this highly successful album, resulted in a four week European tour and accolades from music reviewers in the U.S. and Abroad... Anthony gone the summer of '95 and early '96 touring and promoting BIG GUITAR in Europe and throughout the U.S.

Also, in 1996 Charlie Musselwhite asked Anthony to work with his band.

With Charlie, he toured the U.S., Canada and Turkey.

In 1996, with the Johnny Nocturne Band, Anthony performed at more Festivals including The Monterey Jazz Festival (backing Big Jay McNeely), Mississippi Valley Blues Festival, Victoria and Vancouver Jazz Festivals (backing up Johnny Adams); and The Monterey Blues Festival.

In 1997 Anthony released a cd with HOME COOKIN', featuring Brenda Boykin.

He toured Europe, extensively and performed at the San Francisco Blues Festival.

Also in 1997, Anthony recorded on WILD & COOL, the Johnny Nocturne Bands third release on the Rounder/Bullseye label.

With the Johnny Nocturne Band, Anthony also performed at the Juneau Jazz Festival and both the summer and winter versions of the Umbria Jazz Festival.

In 1998, one of Anthony's songs from the BIG GUITAR cd was featured in the movie "Just Write".

He toured the U.S.

with Maria Muldaur; recorded ON THE MAIN STEM with Rhythmtown Jive featuring Johnnie Johnson; toured Europe; recorded the soon to be released follow-up to BIG GUITAR; and performed at the Umbria Jazz Festival with the Johnny Nocturne Band.
