The debut release of Orangehaus Records'' fourth artist, Nathanael Hency''s "All I Have to Spare" is an eclectic folk/rock/pop mix that explores one artist''s journal of thoughts, conversations and ideals. Raised in a musical family in Anderson, Indiana, Hency has spent most of his life learning how to play guitar and write his own material. "I may not be writing Christian songs, but the songs I''m writing are morally and ethically in line with Christian teaching. They come out of a genuine care for humanity." The poetry and passion behind each lyric draws the listener in and commands a response. "Disruption" is a catchy, pop-driven song that is meant to interrupt the way people view the world and social injustice. "On My Way" and "Killing All My Instincts" challenge the listener to be conscious of poverty, hunger and AIDS.
