Details:
''One Week of Days'' are made up of Bob and Jan Murphy, a husband and wife team who have worked together on various musical projects over the past number of years. Accomplished singer/songwriters, Bob and Jan joined ''Kaydee'' in 1994. The group secured a record deal with E.M.I. records but by 1997 they had become disillusioned with the setup and decided to leave the band, choosing instead to work on various other musical projects and solo work.

Bob and Jan continued to write music together over the next three years and in 2000 they formed ''One Week of Days''. They recorded an album in their home in Kilkenny city in their spare time and since its release in 2002, they have received much attention along with critical acclaim.

The songs are diverse both musically and lyrically with an underlying sound probably closest in style to rock. Lyrically ''Who you really are'' probes deeply yet always remains cheerful. Subjects dealt with include the transience of worldly wealth - ''Holy Love'', determination to continue in the face of adversity- ''Shake My Day'' and faith in spite of life''s difficulties - ''You Know Best''.

Since 2000 ''One Week of Days'' have played many diverse venues from gospel festivals to intimate pub gigs and church settings. The group has recently grown to take on some extra musicians, which has added another dimension to their live performance and studio recording. They can alternate from an acoustic vibe to a more energetic ''band like'' feel, depending on what is needed.

New material is currently in the writing phase and should make up the second album. They are currently in the studio recording band versions of some of the material from ''Who you really are''. This should be ready for release in a short time.

.....Bob and Jan Murphy use an indie rock foundation on which to erect tracks offering hints of jazz, gospel folk and pop, plus jan''s bewitching voice, to create something at times mesmerizing ....

"Hot Press" - Jackie Hayden - 12 Mar ''03

... Imagine a male voice that for all the world sounds like Chris Rea, female vocals that .. are like Dido, excellent musicianship, well-crafted songs with catchy melodic hooks, with definite influences of U2 in there too. Put all that together and what have you got ?? .. One Week of Days ....... definitely worthy of mass attention !!!

"worshiplink" - Ann Trainor

... this album comes more and more alive with each successive listening ..... they do not sound quite like anyone else currently in the Christian market. They land in a space quite comfortably not praise and worship, not rock, not quite pop, not really contemporary, yet a blend of all of these which is their own ...

"The Phantom Tollbooth" - Alex Klages

... a polished, self-confident affair which sees them dabble in everything from uptempo pop to laid-back soft rock, backed up by skilful use of sequenced drum loops and Hammond organ ...
