A multi-instrumentalist and avid UFO researcher, John Ostrosky a.k.a. John Ostronomy, was introduced to music by his father, a rock and roll guitar player and vocalist. By the time he received KISS "Alive!" on his seventh birthday, his mission was evident.

At seventeen, John left home to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Two weeks later, he took the stage with one of his childhood idols, Ace Frehley, during a concert in Providence, Rhode Island. After only three and one-third years, John obtained his Bachelor of Music degree with a concentrate cumulative grade point average of 4.0. Phil Collins gave him his degree.

John quickly relocated to New York City where he first appeared live with Slaughter''s Mark Slaughter. It was there where he met Beatlemania alumnus, Mitch Weissman, who he collaborated with on Return of the Comet, A Tribute To Ace Frehley. Rounding out their group was Frehley''s Comet mainstay, Richie Scarlet, who handled lead guitar on the track.

In 1998, John formed Ostronomy and released the "Disturbing Abduction" single. At the same time, he made his first of four appearances on MTV''s Rocks Off critiquing videos alongside VJs Jesse Camp and Matt Pinfield and special guests including Kid Rock and Dicky Barrett of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. Within two months of their release, Ostronomy''s "Disturbing Abduction" and "Cover Up" made their national debuts on the show.

In 1999, John made his acting debut in the "Red Alert," video from UK artists Basement Jaxx. Soon after, he landed a principal role in the Heineken "Lighter" commercial. Later, John went on to appear in various promos for Nick-At-Nite, and he starred in a spot for MTV2.

Since his first national television appearance, John has appeared on numerous other TV shows including MTV''s TRL and Do What, VH1''s Rock Collectors, What''s My 20, and Feedback, and ABC''s Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, where he was asked to appear in Ace Frehley''s KISS makeup to support celebrity contestant, Gene Simmons.

In 2005, John produced and presented the Rock & Roll Ball: A Benefit Concert for VH1 Save the Music where he performed with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, Marky Ramone of the Ramones and Mountain bassist, Richie Scarlet. Proceeds from the concert were donated the VH1 Save The Music Foundation.
