Details:
Often, the birth of an album is from depths that are invisible. The Offering was born that way. While KC Clark scripted lyrics of praise in his dorm room and carried them in his notebook, Julie experienced spears of darkness and walked away with the passion of a warrior. The sorrow of being lost was joined with anointing oil of joy in Jesus. God introduced them across an ordinary counter of a local coffee joint. The completion and purpose of their union was Christ. All songs are a response to Him. Their lives demanded a song. The passion in their purpose was formed in powerful and alive song. It is an Offering back to Him who has given all. Awake is that story of walking with Him from the dust of the valley to the hidden springs on the mountaintops.

Awake is an outstanding collection to offer listeners. KC has an amazing understanding of perfect harmonic construction. Writing songs is an art that he has sunk his life into. He is a musician with a heart for worship. This unity of heart, mind, and anointing are obvious in the rhythm, movement, and melodies of Awake. KC''s roots are in the church and the faithfulness of his seeking Jesus. His charisma and anointing musically bring him to a place of leading worship. Julie takes the listener to an unexplored place or worship. Her voice is like a waterfall. She weeps with a love for the Father and for His deliverance. Joy bursts forth through her song of freedom in Jesus'' arms after shaking off the chains of the oppressor. His beauty encompasses her because He is alive in her.

God sent two like-minded brothers to the Clarks to complete The Offering. Andy Bradberry on drums and percussion and Rusty Randles is the bassist. Anna Bradberry serves as the road manager and merchandiser. The band is successful because the vision is from Jesus. They are undivided in purpose and unified in a love for music, one another and for the Savior. They are following His plan; to sing and make music for the Lord, to be unified in His name, and to sing for His people. It is praise and not performance. The strength of this album is the life it holds. The lyrics minister truth and return to mind long after the songs have played. The praises are triumphant enough to fill an arena and real enough to fit a small venue. There are notes of symphonic movements, choral contributions, raw roots, rock, bluegrass and disco. It is life''s music to all of the children of God. Check it out! The Offering leads worship in area churches, college campuses, coffee shops, camps and retreats. They won Charlotte''s Battle of the Bands in 2003 and are currently played on Charlotte''s top Christian music station 91.9 with Be My Everything.

The results are not glamorous. It is not an easy life for parents of three little girls. In addition to supporting a family of five, Julie and KC home school two of their three daughters and manage a toddler. Sacrifices have been made. Much prayer has been poured out in the struggles. The obstacles birth the song of His provision. The Clarks have learned to count all of it joy to the glory of the Father. These servants create music that speaks to the heart of the listener. Their worship in Awake is the reality of life; it''s hardships, and finding answers in scripture. The album magnifies the wonder of Him who makes all struggles worthwhile and the way He becomes our strength through them. The songs are focused and flawless because The Offering has laid all other things aside for His excellent renown. He has blessed and anointed the voices, the instruments and the lives of the faithful servants of The Offering.
