Powerful and melodic are two words that can be used to describe the sound of BaTrina Davis. This Houston, TX native is the product of tremendous effort hewn from her life experience as a Mother, Wife, Sister and Musician. In tune with the rhythm of her own spirit BaTrina recreates her personal experience with God every time she sings.
BaTrina’s musical experience as a soloist and background vocalist has exposed her to the highest levels of Gospel and R&B music. Her experiences as a soloist include: Back-to-back first place finishes in the Hal Jackson Talented Teen Competition - resulting in a performance at the world-renowned Apollo Theatre in New York City, A 2002 first place finish in the Houston Idol Competition held by Fox Channel and 104KRBE radio station resulting in her opening for Destiny’s Child, Nick Carter of the Back Street Boys at the KRBE Jingle Jam Concert.
As a background vocalist BaTrina toured from 1994-2003 with gospel legend Kim Burrell. Additional credits include; Martha Munizzi at the 2005 Stellar Awards, the legendary Oliver Scott, former member of the R&B group The Gap Band, trombonist Frank Roots Lacy, and she has performed on stage with Chaka Khan, Fred Hammond, Richard Smallwood, Donald Lawrence and many others.
