I am a Virginia native, reared in a talented family with gospel roots and old-fashioned values.
Very special people and events inspired each selection.
One song in particular, ''Why Did You Go Away'', was written in memory of my father, and '' A Tribute to Pat'' has two selections dedicated to the memory of my aunt.
Artists such as Rev. James Cleveland, The Caravans and Thomas Dorsey sparked my desire to compose and arrange traditional gospel music.
This project reminds me of the days when my family gathered around my grandmother''s piano with songs and laughter.
Bubba has persevered for 32 years and has proven to be a pillar in gospel music.
He is now being called upon to teach this tradition to other musicians and choirs.
His musical abilities only accent the genuine love Bubba has for others.
He donates his time and talents to many charitable and missionary objectives.
Whether it is a sing-along in a nursing home or participating in a benefit program, Bubba has an intrinsic charisma that tends to lift burdens and bring a smile to someone''s face.
