Music Productions. Singing Melody’s contribution on this album firmly fixes his place forever on that list.
What he does with More and More reminds you of the best of the Four Tops. It touches the soul and shows a degree of sweetness that’s almost honey. This is Real Love takes you back to teenage fantasies and memories of unfulfilled promises.
Most of the songs here work like conversations before dawn with a lover who has just returned. Joyful and uplifting with a positive sense of being, loving and living you want them to go on and on. It is clear Singing Melody and the other artistes – Morgan Heritage, Turbulence, Lukie D, and Ritchie Stephens, and several others – know how to squeeze emotions out of their lyrics.
They also know how to pick musicians with the perfect skills set. A persistent bass line and easy guitar have the subdued energy of a cool day by a Portland river. The keyboards give a comforting structure to all these gentle melodies. The album is expertly arranged by the duo.
