Clear Conscience started it''s vibe in Concord California, later in 1999 moved to San Francisco and started recording our first album "High Tide" in 2000. This album was raw, from the street, and just had the element that "WAS" Clear Conscience. We moved ourselves to Oakland in 2000 to record at Soundwave Studios. Here Robert L. (Engineer) and Jeff Conscience first met and kicked off what to be 5 albums (Now 6 including DECADE) is history in the making. Collaborating with amazing people like Scott Roughwood (AKA Stick Figure) to collaborate in making our first "GENUINE" studio release "What''s Inside Count''s". Connecting with old friends Dub Passenjah, Mystic Roots, No Needz, Tippa Irie, Mike from Orange Grove...this album was definitely a key in kicking it all off! A few years later going back to the raw element we settled down and recorded "In To History"! Connecting with the lead singer from one of our favorite bands REBELUTION, Matt Vasquez joined us in making the hit song "New Love" which was later covered and redone with Josh Heinrichs (Formerly of Jah Roots) in 2010. In To History featured some of our favorite guest artist including Edley Shine from Born Jamericans, whom I used to listen to all the time growing up in my teens. The next year Jeff Conscience had the pleasure of meeting Matt O. (Moss Dub) and created my personal favorite album "On The Rocks". On The Rocks was a very raw, epic, good vibe from front to back album. Moss Dub put his heart and soul into this album to help make it just an amazing masterpiece. This album featured such greats as Half Pint, Ross of Faded Chroniclez and many other of our great friends. We than teamed up to make our current release "Clear Conscience and Friends - Herbal Remedy". If you know Clear Conscience you know we love to collaborate so what better than to have an "AND FRIENDS" CD! We connected with members of the band Katchafire, Wild Life, Josh Heinrichs, Mike of Orange Grove, PDUB, LAIV3, No Needz, Ross of Faded Chronclez, Toko Tasi, Dub Passenjah, Universal Speakers and others! Through our love for music and life we have donated a large amount of our proceeds to charity and will continue to do so in our effort to make the world that much better of a place. This album is dedicated to those who have been with us the last 10 years and are excited for the next 10. To those who just heard about us and are instantly a fan. For those who are unsure, but are willing to take a listen, and to those who wish we would disappear but we just keep the good vibes coming! Respect to all and enjoy the vibes!
