Two Thousand Years of Christmas is the soundtrack from a musical stage show written and performed by the three of us: Eileen McGann, Cathy Miller and David K. Although we have known each other for years, we were rarely able to sing together as a threesome, due to our busy individual touring schedules. This project allowed us to tour and sing together for seven years, ending in 2001. The CD features songs from centuries of Christmas traditions, ranging from the extremely old to the very new, and in a wide range of styles, from Latin choral works to traditional English folk songs to a Gospel-bluegrass piece. Three of the cuts on this project were recorded live in concert, and most of the rest of the album was recorded "live in the studio" with a minimum of overdubs (except when David felt compelled to add "just one more" instrument.) We hope you will enjoy listening to the songs as much as we enjoyed singing them.
