Endorsed by Raye Biffin, owner of the iconic The Gruesomes label Ricochet Sound, album comprises only original material recorded and mixed during several live sessions at Praton Studio, Moscow. All instrument and vocal tracks were recorded simultaneously to retain energy and feeling of live performance.
Being heavily influenced by original 60’s garage, proto-punk and freakbeat bands, Troll Controll has it’s own unique delivery which escapes firm definition. Balancing on the edge of garage, post-punk and pop-art mod sounds, the band ventures into new territory with short, minimalistically arranged catchy melodic songs reviving the pop that used to rock.
To retain full artistic control and stay truly independent, in August 2010 Troll Controll established Tons of Stuff Recordings, new Moscow/ Helsinki based indie label set to release band’s creative output.
Debut album is supported by video for the song «Shoes» directed and filmed by A. Telminov in September 2010.
