I want to talk about ''time''. ''TIME'' as a moment when life fulfills and ‘TIME’ as an existence we need when we need some changes. In first meaning of ‘TIME’, I wanted to ask whether we truly dedicate our life in ‘TIME’. There aren’t many people live as there ‘real self’. ‘Are you the main agent of your time or are you just following others’ thoughts and means?’ Latter one, I wanted to tell everyone needs time. Happiness, recovery, growing… everything needs ‘TIME’.
My title is ‘The Dawn Train’. Few years ago I went to China on a trip and hop onto a train. I woke up in the early morning and the plain was magnificent but very quiet and peaceful. It was in my memory for a long time so I made the melody remembering the train and the plain.
Third track ‘Time-Trip’ is an arrangement of a Jeju folksong, ‘Odolttogi’, in my work. ‘Odolttogi’ is a very classy song. Usually folksong is 3 beat pieces and its characteristic is active and jovial. I use 3 beat to emphasize its folksong groove.
This is my first album and I would like to share what I felt during my preparation with other people.
