These songs are the result of personal “highs and lows” and some sweet writing sessions alone or with co-writers. The theme of the lot of them is “wish”. Wish, dream, imagine, desire, believe…Bounty, and beauty, in our lives starts there, and the Keeper of our dreams hears every prayer.
Some of these recordings have been filed away for a while, waiting for a chance to be heard. I’m happy to finally give it to them! I sang every song, and the arrangements have deliberately been left simple and bare, more like my live “solo” shows. I also played piano and keyboard, except for tracks 7 & 8, which were played by the uber-talented Jonathan Alexiuk. Speaking of Tracks 7 & 8, kudos to Chris Berti for laying down the brilliant bass, Ariel Posen for stellar guitar playing, and Jim Johnson for keeping it super-steady on the kit. Arun Chaturvedi played guitar on all of the other tracks except number 6 (which I risked myself!) Samara Wiebe imagined the visual beauty of the cover design.
