I am originally from Guanajuato, Mexico and in my last year of high school, I decided to take private piano lessons with a local teacher and it was during this time period that I learned classical pieces by Beethoven and Mozart. I also took music notation and I tried a hand at composing, discovering a new way to communicate in terms of music.
The titles of this series of compositions were inspired by the sayings my grandmother used to say to all her grandsons. Some of this sayings are very popular in México, some of them are very wise or funny. So I decided to keep them alive through music.
