"Between The Chairs" - no:carrier are back and find their place between Pop, Electro and Wave

The cover gives a hint: There''s lots of space between the chairs to get a creative sitting posture. And with the new album no:carrier found their places (yes, not just one place) between these chairs called Pop, Electro and Wave (and a bit Gothic as well...).

Christian Wirsig and Cynthia Wechselberger took some years to finally present a bunch of new songs, but although it may seem so, they never were completely gone since the release of "My Own Dream" eight long years ago. They released a specially written song, "Mr. Einstein", on a tribute album to this great scientist that was released in the Einstein year 2005, contributed a song to Psyche''s greatly reviewed album "The 11th Hour" (2008) and in the last two years released several free virtual singles including the forerunners to the new album - all available online.

But enought about the past - we better get to the new songs. "Between The Chairs" combines the strongest assets of no:carrier: great melodies, sophisticated lyrics, gripping songs, experimental notions and of course the outstanding voice of Cynthia Wechselberger. Harder, more club-oriented songs like "Casting The First Stone", "Cask Of Wonders", "Perfectly Safe" and "Sin Of Regret" encounter more melancholic, more quiet songs ("Run", "The Way You Laughed").

And no:carrier are not satisfied with bringing only the usual sounds of pop music. "Pictures And The Drums" is a percussion and e-piano driven piece, while "Jerusalem Upon Your Palm" sends you down to the near east, raising some philosophical questions and "The Way You Laughed" features one of the darkest string sections you can use in a song that could still be labeled "pop".

The songs are colorfully mixed with deep dark shades. They will catch you and won''t leave you alone.
