This album all began as Merie looked up into a starry night sky and suddenly the words flowed from her mouth exactly as heard in track one… “I saw a spaceship in the sky…” She laughed about it at first, but over time, it formed into its finished work – about redemption, salvation, and hope even in the darkest times of her life. Combining hints of sunny melody and insightful lyrics, this song brings joy to all who hear. The rest of the album is full of a wide variety of tunes, ranging from light and irresistibly catchy, to raw and intimately passionate. The guitar is far from uniform as each song has it’s own feel, one of which even has thick lead guitar that leaves us all wanting more. These tracks leave us all with a new melody stuck in our heads and our hearts.
All proceeds from this album will go toward a mission trip to Indonesia to take place in June of 2011.
