Black Boy Dream is a tribute song written in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
together with his much celebrated "I Have A Dream" speech that took place in
Washington D.C. on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 1963.
The segment of the "Dream" speech I sing about occurred approximately
twelve-minutes into Dr. King''s famous words that he delivered slowly
and passionately about what he dreamed for the future of America.
It was not only spoken beautifully, but it was also spontaneous,
unrehearsed and unscripted – all from MLK''s undying heart.

Both versions of Black Boy Dream were recorded at Sound Tech Studios
in Phoenix, Arizona. Tracks 1 & 2 Engineered and Mixed by Jim Waldon.
Words & Music by Havana Malibu / Arrangement by Jeanne Newhall.
Track 1 Piano by Jeanne Newhall / Track 2 Piano by Stefanie Kelly.
Bass Guitar by Joe Schofield / Electric Guitar by Joey Bombaci.
Drums and Percussion by David Rusty Abbott.
Track 2 Backing Vocals by Stefanie Kelly.
