Eric also wrote music for the children''s theatre piece, Cracker Jack Day (book and lyrics by Jennie Kaplan-Fahn) that was honored by then Los Angeles mayor Tom Bradley for promoting racial tolerance. His love of writing and performing for children led him to become a Gymboree Play Program instructor, a job he did enthusiastically for several years.

He recently taught voice and musical theatre at the Red Chair School of Performing Arts in Burbank, California and performed the role of Daddy Warbucks in the Red Chair production of Annie.
