The Journey began back in 1999. Living Hope Community Church in Boonville Indiana had just recently been born under the anointing of God and the direction of Aaron Franz. Stacey Franz, the wife of Pastor Aaron, led worship with CDs such as Third Day and Hillsongs. The band began to grow, first with a pianist (David Vornhagen), then a guitarist (Gabriel Matthews.) Soon after, Curtis Brock joined as another guitarist, along with his son Benjamin Brock as the drummer. The lineup has changed slightly over time, as happens with most bands, but the core foundation and purpose remains the same: To worship God through song, by offering ourselves as living sacrifices to Him, and by ushering in an atmosphere of praise.
Over the years, the uniquely guitar-drive style of Living Hope Worship has been one of the foundations of Living Hope Community Church. Not content to lead the church family in traditional "churchy" worship, Living Hope Worship has strived to remain edgy, electic and energetic. Members of Living Hope Worship are told frequently by church members that they prefer "our" version of that popular radio song better than the actual radio song.
The songs written on this CD by members of Living Hope Worship were all written across the span of the past 11 years, and by different members of the band, demonstrating the journey that we all take in our daily walks with Christ. Some days we rejoice, and some days we regret our mistakes, but in every step of your own journey, you must remember to worship Jesus Christ. We sincerely hope you enjoy our first album, and may God receive all glory, honor, and praise through it.
