Details:
Since 2011 rang in, rumors flew that the highly-anticipated R&B/Pop/Soul Songbird, Producer and Songwriter LaDeana Michelle would be distributing her new release through one of the partners of Universal Music Group, i.e. Universal Republic or Island Def Jam Digital Distribution. The beautiful, multi-talented maven has proven consistent with her strong sound and universal appeal, and is no doubt surfacing again this year, with what many are calling, “her best yet”. Throw out the rumors.

Glaze, LaDeana Michelle’s brand new release, is being distributed right here, on CD Baby and it is phenomenal.

Praise from early critics has even branded LaDeana Michelle (who not only writes and arranges, but genuinely produces like female counterpart Missy Elliott) as "The Female “R. Kelly” as she creatively carves out a niche all her own. She has hit home once again, in the hearts of fans everywhere, with self-written, self-produced early-predicted hits of Glaze, entitled “Deejay”, “How Did I Get Here?” and “Who”—all of which remind early listeners of the timeless slow jams Soul crooners R. Kelly, Keith Sweat, The Isley Brothers, Tank, H-Town, Silk (Freak Me/Lose Control) and Jodeci (Cry For You) were most notable for. Come on...who didn''t love The Isley Brothers? Jodeci? Now, we’re not saying the songs of Glaze aren’t feminine. Jeez, she could sing through a tube and it would still rain rose petals. The songs just have that sensuous, “earthy” sound male crooners typically deliver to drive baby-making activity to an all-time high.

Glaze, LaDeana Michelle''s fifth CD Baby release, is all about love, which is undoubtedly one of the most rapidly dying factors in society today. How ironic. LaDeana Michelle, trendsetter and leader (who marches to the beat of her own 808 drum) is all about love…and change. Glaze is a part of her unique, 3rd Annual “Love Quarter” campaign—which promotes love, social awareness, unity and change through music and visual arts annually, from January 1st through March 31st, set to run every first quarter for the next nine years. The campaign encompasses her renowned slogan, “Changing Lives One Day at a Time”.

Representing a musical family that include legends Sam Cooke and Eddie Kendricks (Temptations) this Oakland, California native stands on her own as a multi-octave vocalist, songwriter, producer, arranger, composer, actress, screenwriter, print model, designer, poet, author, CEO and savvy businesswoman. She “unofficially” hit the ground running three years ago, with a series of exclusive, digital-only EP releases, which are all still garnering worldwide radio plays.

It began with the grassroots spread of her positive-natured songs, "Keep Your Faith", the official “2009 Barack Obama Inauguration song” and “Believe”, honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and President Obama, which was featured in The Urban Music Scene online magazine, a rapidly-growing publication that hosts top R&B, Gospel and Jazz, with artists Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, Brian McKnight, Eric Benet, Charlie Wilson and more in tow. LaDeana Michelle’s “Believe” reportedly received the most hits ever recorded by the magazine in its history. Also notable, was her impressive “Rare” memorial tribute to the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson and video installment entitled, “SEVEN”, which featured seven of her self-produced songs and explored widespread issues such as love/relationships, racism, the homeless, genocide, starvation and more.

"Inside Love’s Window" included romantic ballads, “I Can’t” and “More Than Friends”, which ranked #1 in two top ten R&B and Urban charts and placed LaDeana Michelle as a top 25 artist overall on Soundclick, a music-based, social community that reports over 4 million songs, 491,000 bands and artists, and 4 million registered members. Her “heat-seeker” digital package, "Bringing Love Back", which featured the hit singles, “Long Night” and “My Honey” is still being requested for radio worldwide.

Boasting an extensive entertainment resume, LaDeana Michelle has graced stages all across the U.S. in both music and theater, has additionally lent vocals, arrangement and songwriting to countless independent artist releases, and as a full-fledged producer, she has R&B, Neo-Soul, Pop, Gospel, House, Hip-Hop, Rock, Adult Contemporary, Country and even Jazz production capabilities under her belt. She has rendered commercial jingles for Coke, Pepsi, American Express, Budweiser, Dolby Sound and more. She is also still in circulation as lead and background vocalist on 17 additional worldwide album releases, each earning her a viable database of national and international fans all awaiting one thing: Her highly-anticipated, forthcoming debut album.

Rumors flew that the album release was delayed because of business reasons. The latest was that she was knee-deep in multi-million dollar project negotiations for a creative business merger with her partners. Her camp reports that she travels/gigs with live bands, writes video treatments, is in talks for film production and is actively working on a book series.

Sources say the actual first album single is most definitely due to drop this year, 2011.

In the age of digital downloads taking precedence…do we care? Gone are the days of galloping to the local record store to cop an album. We just don’t “roll” like that much anymore. Again, we cling to everything LaDeana Michelle touches, no matter what, because we know. Something about her is different; almost regal in quality. She’s not trying to be like anyone else. She is undeniably interesting and we recognize what a pure talent she is.

The full studio album is slated to be SIZZLING and will return a component to music that has seemingly gone into hibernation. She will also grace us with several feature films and a boutique store. She is working on an international tour and is set to launch foundation-based social programs dedicated to help the homeless and cultivate low-income youth and starving children worldwide.

Completely unorthodox, the active volcano known as LaDeana Michelle (whose Twitter “tweets” sometimes reflect thoughts you for sure think about but may not say) is most definitely brewing and unpredictable. Again, we may not know exactly when she will officially spout, but we know it is inevitable that she will. From everything we have heard---song after song---of her phenomenal voice, style and influential messages within her music and lyrics, whenever she rears her lovely head above water for good, there won’t be a soul alive who will be able to resist her.
