In 1995, LaSean started singing for Indianapolis Local Jazz Artist Dar’rell Green who was on the Lower Level Record Label, as well as singing for George Middleton. LaSean performed lead and background vocals for three bands and has performed at the Madam Walker Theatre.
LaSean’s love for music moved him to entertain at another level - starting his DJ business, DV Entertainment in 1997. He has become known to many as their "Family DJ". Demetrius has done corporate events for ESPN, Elli Lilly, Indianapolis History Museum, and Keebler. In 2000, LaSean came out with his independent CD entitled “LaSean’s Grooves”.
His passion for writing songs and recording has never died. After 10 years, LaSean is ready to release his second album entitled “This is Your Song”. The album is set to be released in Spring 2011. This album has a mix of bass ridden hooks, stimulating male vocals, combined with a soulful air. It is steeped in but not confined to R&B tradition. The tracks have a R&B flavor with a sprinkle of pop.
