The Watters Brothers have expanded their sound by including drum machines and synthesizers’ creating a more contemporary album than previous releases. The blues rock guitar remains ever present amidst an electronic back beat creating a new age classic rock which digs its hooks in and throws you on the dance floor.
These two voices grab your attention; Muddy’s croon in “Hard Working Man” is reminiscent of early Stones while Danny’s throaty growl penetrates in “Hot War” and ‘Lost Underground’. But they are arguably best when wrapped around each other as heard in the soulful hip hop beat of ‘Walking in the City’ and the sweet melodies of “Sunshine”.
