The title for this album originally came from Sharon looking up L.A.''s KBIG on Wikipedia and finding out that it had a "Beautiful music" format back in the 60s. Wanting to find out more, she looked up Beautiful music, and found that it meant easy listening. This album, although far from the easy listening style, is pleasant on the ears and exhibits Bumtech''s unbridled creativity. Drawing from their influences from 60s psychedelic to 80s new wave and underground to 90s indie, the album takes the best of these types of music and merges the sounds into Bumtech''s own. You will find songs with a shoegaze and psychedelic sound, sometimes heavy folk, and even surf style music. Pretty much everything cool that has ever happened in music.
