Brent Bennett has been working professionally as a musician for over 25 years.

He performed his original music with bands in California and opened for such artists as John Waite and Echo & the Bunnymen before returning to Indiana.

Since his return, he has been involved with the Roadapple band and Gypsy Runner in the early to mid-80s, performing at the Vogue in Broad Ripple on a few occasions as well as at Deer Creek (now Verizon Wireless Music Center).

In 1992, he formed Stones Crossing with Rob York, playing lead guitar and fronting the band.

His involvement with Ballast resulted in the band''s 2000 self-titled album, on which he wrote all the songs as well as providing lead vocals and guitar.

He joined Sindacato in 2004, contributing an original song to the band’s 2005 album, "The Cord."

“Crossing the Country” is a country rock-flavored CD with Brent''s longtime songwriting partner Rob York, recorded in fall 2005 in Brent''s own studio. Rob added his own brand of acoustic guitar to the work. Brent played all of the remaining tracks as well as handling the vocals. Brent''s solo sophomore effort, "Under My Own Power," was released in 2006. "The Movers Are in Town," with The Movers, was released in 2007. Brent''s solo blues CD, "It Must Be the Blues," was released in 2008. "A Ghost in Indiana" came out in October 2009. All five CDs are receiving international airplay, with "Crossing the Country" being played on more than 100 stations worldwide. An instrumental album, "Brent-Strumentals: Relax," was released digitally in 2009.

Accolades include an Honorable Mention in the November/December 2008 lyric contest in American Songwriter magazine; Top 10 on https://www.tradebit.com in three different categories and being selected to work with Philip Morris USA in 2008 on a national promotion. "The Sign," from his first album, was selected as an alternate in the 2009 Blooming-Tunes songwriting contest.

Brent is a Raven West Guitars endorsed artist.
