In 1989 Ultramagnetic MC''s were asked by the NBA to do a track introducing every member of the NBA All-Stars and the Ultramagnetic MC''s obliged, producing a nine-plus minute track covering every player in the All-Star game (with one injury exception). Despite how cool it was, the NBA hasn''t done it since.... so we took it in our own hands.
This track gives the rightful nod to Ultramagnetic and updates the concept fresh for 2011... and we mean fresh, we wrote rhymes for every potential All-Star way before the fact so we could get this out there quickly after the team was announced (would you like to hear the rhyme for Ray Felton?) All players except Yao Ming are represented, though any substitutions due to injury are not accounted for here (there are none known as of today, 2-5-2011). So we wrote some rhymes, recorded drums and put a few instruments down on top of it too to get to this. First up are the reserves (with a switch from a more Eact Coast to a more West Coast beat midway through the reserves) and the starters are saved for last with a final switch to the harder beat that sets it off.
We kept the "every player''s rhyme ends in ''cause he''s an all-star!''" thing for this track because it just seemed right.
