C.J. Bryant, known as C.J.B., is a singer, songwriter, and rapper from Seattle, WA. He was born in State College, Pennsylvania, while his father attended Penn State University and his east coast influence is evident in his lyrically charged rapping style. C.J.B. became hooked on R&B music at a young age, and as recalls, his first CD was a Boyz II Men album. C.J.B. has a unique, soulful sound with traces of ol’ school 90’s R&B probably stemming from that first Boyz II Men CD.
C.J.B. started taking singing seriously in high school when his mother signed him up for singing lessons during his junior year. A few weeks later he joined the award winning chamber choir at his high school. It was not until a few years later, in the fall of 2008, that C.J.B. started recording in a studio. He joined with up-coming Seattle producers Elliott Eide and Peter Barroga whose company, Priceless Productions, released the compilation album Open for Business in November, 2009. C.J.B. featured on 7 songs and co-wrote a majority album.
This new single, "Hey Girl" combines the smooth vocals of a classic R&B hit with the club banger beat supplied by producer Kuddie Fresh, who has worked with the likes of Chris Brown and Lil'' Wayne. There is an official music video for "Hey Girl" directed by Seattle film company, 200 Friends.
