Joni Mitchell, Billie Holiday and Shelby Flint possess these wonderful artistic qualities. The songs selected for this collection are gifts to the people I love. Some songs were recorded for specific events of a friend’s wedding, the birth of my God Daughter Mary Jane and the unfortunate death of a friend’s brother. One song in particular has special meaning, I sang Bye Bye Blackbird to my Mother in the hospital before she passed away.
