This EP was recorded in the same studio that produced the musical works of The Fray, Meese, and Churchill. With this three-track recording The Courtesy Bandits have released their sound to the world and have only received a positive response.
Their sound has been described as many things, but Eryc Eyl’s Denver Post blog recently stated that “They occupy the melodic pop realm well-trod by Colorado band’s like the Fray and Meese”. Many hear their jazz influence in their Saxophonist/Keyboardist who recently excelled at a high school program at the Berklee College of Music. They are lyrically potent with their dueling lead singers, a soulful Brazilian virtuoso and a male lyricist who also doubles on rhythm guitar. The other three members of the rhythm section provide a pounding backbeat based in their youtfullness, yet groove like seasoned veterans.
