Details:
My name is Connor Corkill. I am deaf. I can only hear with one cochlear implant over my right ear. It is a genetic disease. I have been a musician since high school, as a drummer for The Gauchos, The Beach Boys (drums & keyboards). I have played alongside The Grateful Dead, Vanilla Fudge, Gerry and the Pacemakers, and many high profile musicians from 1964 to 1977. I played on the Shindig concert tour of the states in ''65. I play 8 musical instruments and played all the instruments on this album, STOP THAT TRAIN, except for the drum machine, ZOOM model MRT-3. I have written over 300 songs, including all the songs on this album.
I wrote most of the songs on this album in the 70''s, so the picture on this album was taken in 1970 when I was a member of The Stone Parade from Seattle, WA.
Sharon Riley, who sings the lead in THE GREATEST OF ROCK ''N'' ROLL, duets with me on BACKDOOR MAN, and helps with harmony here and there, is one on the best Country-Rock singers of the Central California area. I thank her so much for helping me with these songs. She is a good friend and a great singer.
This is a good party and dance album. It starts out with the song, STOP THAT TRAIN, which is a hard rock song, but then goes to a slow blues, then a different tempo and beat, so there is a lot of variety on this album.......I hope you like it.
