Details:
T.U.R.N. is a three piece alternative rock band from Pasadena MD. The musicians J Watts, Ian Macfie and George Cowan are three of the areas hardest working musicians. T.U.R.N. have a library of over 25 original tunes with flowing lyrics and three part harmonies aligned with solid grooves to keep you on your feet.

All three members grew up in Pasadena, but took off in different directions. George and Ian found their musical center of gravity in George’s basement and became a popular local acoustic duo. J went west and began his music endeavors in Chico CA. He joined a band in Chico called “Here for Now” (HfN) who produced a 17 track CD called “Something Small” receiving local radio play and pod cast. J encourage the band to move to San Francisco but the band was mixed on leaving. When the band made the decision not to move he returned to his hometown.

It was a move that would result in a relationship now known as T.U.R.N. Ian and J had ties from high school and began to hang out experimenting with their music and creative ideas. Ian invited J to a jam session with George and they never looked back.

From the first chord they knew there was something special about the assembly of talent.

George is not only a solid axe man, guitar instructor, and a degreed musician, he played with fellow student and band leader Francis Coats (The Francis Coats Project), who opened for Grammy award wining vocalist Regina Belle at the 2006 AFRAM Fest. Ian’s diverse talent was fostered by his mother a voice and piano instructor. Ian’s exceptional talent allows him to play synth bass, and keys all while belting out vocals. J is the engine room behind the drums, keeping the group moving with his business sense and prolific lyrical contribution.

Their music is a sweet blend of catchy melodies, strong harmonies, and layers of complex time signature changes that keep the listener engaged and wanting more.

Although their new EP has been released, live is still the best way to catch the T.U.R.N. For more about T.U.R.N. visit https://www.tradebit.com or https://www.tradebit.com
