After early stints in the underground CT Hip Hop scene, joey batts branched off from his first band, Pedagogy, to start the Zigs and Batts Circus (ZBC) in the late winter of 2005. After being featured on Superheroes and Villains Vol. 1, and the follow up EP, The Galapagos Project: San Cristobal, 8 months later, ZBC disbanded. The end was difficult on joey batts, and the end result was a 7 disc odyssey, based on the Deadly Sins amended by Pope Gregory I in the 6th Century. Each volume deals with a specific feeling, as joey batts tries to encompass every angle of the sin and its sinners. Pride was the first release in the summer of 2006. Only available to people at his shows, it first appeared on the internet in 2008 to a limited number of loyal fans. Nearly two years later, and 4 years after it’s original release. The first volume is finally available to everyone.
