Details:
Nancy-Jo grew up with four brothers, living in Massachusetts for the first nine years of her life. Her family moved to Oregon in 1969. Nancy-Jo attended Northfield Mount Herman Preparatory School, graduating in 1978. She attended the University of Oregon, graduating with a journalism degree and a teaching certificate.

Nancy-Jo also obtained a Master’s of Education from Pacific University at Eugene and completed coursed for the Administrative Certificate. She has taught middle school for the past seven years. Prior to that, she taught fifth grade for fourteen years.

Nancy-Jo lives with her daughters and dogs in Eugene. She loves to hike, camp, bird-watch and people-watch.
