Details:
So who is O The Architect? O The Architect was born on June 9th in Tijuana Mexico and arrived in the United States with his parents and brothers on Columbus Day only 4 months after birth. At an early age O The Architect was said to have taken a strong interest in music. Thanks to his Mexican roots he was exposed to, and grew up listening to a wide variety of music from Mariachi, Rancheras, Banda, and 80''s music like Heavy Metal, Hip-Hop, Rap and anything that was popular during those times. In the 90''s when Rap and Hip-Hop became more prevalent in the West Coast, O The Architect was drawn into its culture. He found that it was music he could relate to and spoke about the subjects he encountered and was surrounded by on a daily basis like Gangs, Drugs, Murders, Police Harassment and Brutality; but in addition to that, Hip-Hop also seemed to be a voice for the people, for the oppressed. It spoke about fighting for change and a better life. It spoke about unity and respect. It spoke about not only "Getting out the hood" but "changing it" and making it safe for everyone to be able to walk through the streets. At 15 he began writing and freestyling and thanks to positive feedback from friends countinued until the age of 18 when he then teamed up with High School friend "Cable" to form the group "Bandits". They released an album titled "Caligraphy" which would probably fall under the category of West Coast Gangster Rap. With most of their friends landing in jail and prison and also getting involved heavily in gangs, O The Architect and Cable began putting more focus on the music and wrote hundreds of songs together. Unfortunately during those times Brown and Black unity was not as easily accepted. As a group they faced many obstacles where either a record label or other rappers only wanted to work with Cable or only wanted to work with O The Architect. They decided to tough it out and not disband the group. After a while they began to go their separate ways and put the music on hold. After spending some time in the United States Marine Corps O The Architect returned to his first love "Music" and formed I Am Music Ent. Inc.. He then released "The Architect Presents" as a sort of compilation to show what I Am Music Ent. as well as himself will bring to the table. The album consisted of both Hip-Hop and Rap in English and Spanish, and also a Rap/Rock style with a more aggressive sound. During the course of recording this album he had the opportunity of working with many professional musicians like David Salas, Bryant Siono, Carl "Brozart" Jones, DamonReel, JP Castillo, Rankin Ruff, Daisy Martinez, Lawrence Tamez and also many established underground artist like Abzent Minded and C.I.A., the rest as they say is history
