Artist Biography
Hello, I am Scott Simon. I am a musician, educator and sound therapist in Tampa, Florida. I have an Interdisciplinary PhD from the University of North Texas and have studied shamanic sound healing modalities at Sound Consciousness Institute in San Francisco, California, and Sound Body Wholistic Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. In addition, I have advanced training in the therapeutic use of Tibetan and Nepalese Singing Bowls with Lex Macar and Vedic mantras with Dr. Hari Harran.
My SoulSound® shamanic sound therapy integrates traditional Tibetan singing bowls as well as Ohm® tuning forks, voice, drum, and Native American flute, depending on the needs of the client. Session benefits include deep relaxation & meditation, balancing of the left/right hemispheres of the brain, a healing internal body massage, and a release of negative or harmful tensions in the mind & body.
