A life dedicated to entertainment, Scott Frost was born in Flint, Michigan USA, raised in a family of musicians. Since the age of sixteen he has been a professional entertainer, playing, singing and composing various styles of music for all age groups. He began as a band member and arranger in numerous rock n’ roll group’s, touring the northeast U.S for five years. Scott later advanced to show bands, playing large circuit clubs, touring two thirds of the U.S. for eight years. Desiring a deeper musical challenge, he joined a local jazz band and toured for two years. Touring with Question Mark and the Mysterions as music arranger and keyboardist. Also touring for one year as music arranger and band member with the group Sammy Hall, for educational institutions performing live musical multimedia presentations.
In 1989 Scott moved to Los Angeles to pursue a more satisfying musical adventure. He became a solo entertainer performing at fine international hotels, piano bars, dinner clubs, and exclusive private parties. Utilizing a comedic touch, he has gained the ability to motivate his audience, involving them in the fun and excitement. At times he can change his voice, to create a believable performance of some of the greatest singers of all time including: Neil Diamond, Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Harry Connick Jr., Michael Jackson, James Brown, Prince and Michael Crawford''s’ style of The Phantom Of The Opera; (to name a few).
To date Scott Frost has over one hundred songs copy written. A solid repertoire of unpublished material, and has collaborated with other professional songwriters. Scott co-wrote the song "Tight Rope" with brother Craig Frost ; keyboard player and member of the Bob Segar Silver Bullet Band. This song was recorded on Bob''s "Like a Rock" cd.
Over the years Scott has recorded numerous advertising jingles, produced and arranged personal and contracted projects, and has acquired over 30 years of studio expertise. For the past 30 years Scott has performed in Asia, Europe, Scandinavia, and the United Sates, playing, singing, making people happy and putting smiles on their faces.
For his new album, Sweet Love, Scott enlisted the talents of multi-instrumentalist Paul E. Ojibway for some great saxophone and flute playing. Background vocals, guitar and other production was handled by multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and producer Bobby Standal. Also some drum programming and recording production on three of the songs should be credited to JR Sanson @ Bonsai Digital in Florida. The album was recorded during 2009 to 2010 in private home studios around Scott''s home town of Flint, MI. Some lyric and song creation beginning as early as 2001.
Expect to hear more exciting upbeat cd projects from Scott in the near future, including some funky gospel tunes, provocative lyrics, unique singing style, and some really soulful jazzy piano playing!
