Details:
DeDecker originally hails from Wisconsin. In 2000 he moved to Arizona to accept a teaching position where he now lives with his family.
The cd was recorded in Appleton, Wisconsin at Irish Music Studios.
All eleven songs on the cd were written by Steve (as well as the two bonus tracks). He plays guitar, harmonica, keyboard, and sings on ten of the eleven songs, while his wife, Susan sings the 1990 "Songwriters of Wisconsin" 1st Place song, "If You Believe In Love." The couple perform a duet on "Meant To Be," a song Steve wrote about their life together. As one would expect, all of the songs have a strong message. There are songs about love; about the ills of society; in short, songs about life.
The studio musicians who helped out on various songs mostly hail from the Fox Valley. Rick Smith of Appleton, plays bass, Bruce Siebers from Kimberly sings harmonies and plays lead guitar, while Jim Hendrick of Irish Music in Appleton produced the cd and added vital components from the Korg Sampler. The only non-Valley native was the drummer on several of the tracks, Paul Mauel.
On the bonus tracks, Paul Vidas played guitar and sang backup vocals. Ron Zawacki played bass, and Brian Morrisey played piano. Mark Brinkman added the violin and banjo.
