Shelley is a California native who has travelled extensively across the United States and Canada with her music to inspire Christians to see life as the fantastic experience it can be when a God centered approach is taken toward life.
Shelley was raised in Southern California. She attended California State University at Long Beach, pursuing a career in journalism and public relations. In 1986, while attending college, Shelley gave her life to the Lord at a Billy Graham Crusade. She graduated from college in 1989, and shortly after beginning her career, realized that something was missing.
In time, Shelley realized that she had a calling in her life to share God''s comfort and encouragement through music. This was not something that she chose for herself, but something that was chosen for her. It was a gift. She had no formal training or been involved in music before, but Shelley soon learned that with God all things were possible.
She joined a worship team at Calvary Chapel in West Covina, California with Pastor, Raul Ries, and was encouraged to do an album of her own. Within months, Shelley attended a music conference in Denver, Colorado, where she was offered a record deal with Daywind Music Group from Nashville, Tennessee. Shelley completed two projects with Daywind Music before leaving and joining Big Splash Records, an independent label founded by Julianne Fisher, also located in Nashville.
Shelley has been married to her husband David for the past 16 years. They have three children ages 14, 12 and 8 and reside in Southern California.
