Music is my ministry, no matter what style it is perceived as. It is marked by diverse styles and musical flavors. Most importantly, it is all from my heart. When I conceive an idea for a song, I hear it in my mind. What the listener hears as the finished product is what I heard in the initial conception of the work. I believe that all of my music is given to me by the Holy Spirit, God Almighty. To Him I give thanks and praise for allowing me to bless others with the joy of praise and worship, divine counsel and inspiration, and encouragement through music. What is more, I believe in Christian music entertainment. Therefore, some of my music is aimed at facilitating a fun-filled ambiance of having a good time in the Lord.
My style is reflective of my musical experience as a performer and composer. Born in New Orleans, I grew up in Louisiana during the 1940’s through the ‘60’s. I began playing music in my high school band and continued as a school band member through my college undergraduate and graduate years. Along with that, I’ve been a trumpeter with rhythm and blues bands, church groups, jazz groups and a community symphony orchestra. In expressing my own faith and reality, God has gifted me with the diverse flavors that you hear in my music.
My educational background includes undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate study at Southern University, Louisiana State University and University of North Texas, respectively.
