The Let It Be Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that provides support to Southern California communities, was inspired by Karla Asch-Rosen, of Chino, California, who was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer. Her heartfelt desire was to “just be normal” and share her faith with others. The foundation’s mission reflects the life-changing impact that illness can have on the family’s dynamic. Its focus is to provide individualized aid to meet the needs of the entire family. The foundation not only cares for the very sick child but the entire family living at home. In addition, the foundation inspires community volunteers of all ages.
In July, 2010, Ruthe Rosen, was chosen by Major League Baseball and People magazine to represent the Angels as part of the “All-Stars Among Us” campaign. The campaign, which began in 2009, recognizes individuals who are serving their communities in extraordinary ways.
