Funky Cold Madea .... is the name given to Madea by NU Level Entertainment christian hip hop artist / music producer Carl Bellamy (N.I.L.E.) who was inspired by the phenomenal stage play work of Mr. Tyler Perry. As a struggling independent artist / music producer, Carl has perservered though all of his trials and tribulations of not only maintaining a family, but to also pursue his passion of music which he unashamedy proclaims as a gift from GOD that saved his life from various trials of destruction. Though Carl has numerous christian hip hop album projects released to date, Carl still has had moments of being depressed because of his constant struggle to spread his GOD given ministry to many who need to hear some good news of Jesus Christ. So as Carl came across a You Tube clip of one of Tyler Perry''s stage play clips posted by a fan, Carl decided to do something creative that has never , ever been , done to date, which is to create an original music piece that he produced to make a short , funny video clip of Madea to bring some laughter to some of his online friends.... little did he know that this humerous video clip made soley for creative laughter would become a phenomenal iconic video giving the character Madea an urban music name now known as ......... Funky Cold Madea as she is known to execute her comical version of rap music.
