This is the first in a series of workout mixes curated by Marie Claire magazine''s resident DJ Chris Lawhorn.
Primarily, it was assembled using the feedback from the users of the workout music database at https://www.tradebit.com.
The plan was to try to move slightly away from the techno cover songs that usually dominate these sort of albums.
Instead, a host of DJs and bands were employed to put together something that sounds more like a mixtape you’d make for a friend–but without the slow songs.
